July 3: Day of Mentor and Disciple
- In 1945, President Toda was released from prison, and, in 1957, Daisaku Ikeda entered prison (on false charges of election violation). July 3 came to be known as Day of Mentor and Disciple in the Soka Gakkai, signifying the profound bond of mentor and disciple.
